Explore new album and concert plans for ABBA as group announce 'Voyage'
ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and his wife Lena Källersjö got married back in 1981.
ABBA's Björn Ulvaeus and his wife Lena Källersjö have announced that they will separate after 41 years of marriage.
The couple had first met at a New Year's Eve party hosted by Björn's bandmates Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad.
Björn and Lena married in 1981, around six months after Björn's divorce from ABBA's Agnetha Fältskog.
"After many wonderful and eventful years, we have decided to go our separate ways," the couple said in a statement.
"We remain close friends and will continue to celebrate our grandchildren's birthdays and other family holidays together."
ABBA was comprised of two romantic relationships.
Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog married in 1971 and divorced in 1980. Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad married in 1978 and divorced in 1981.
The disintegration of both marriages led to the band's split in 1982.

Four decades after the break-up and after years of teasing, ABBA finally reunited in 2021 with the release of their long-awaited comeback album Voyage.
While Björn, Benny, Agnetha and Anni-Frid won't be playing the album live, they've made performance capture recordings to create digital ABBA-tars for use in a unique live experience.
The Voyage shows kick off in a specially-constructed venue in London later this year.
