It was inherited by Elvis's father Vernon and then daughter Lisa Marie, with the house becoming a museum in 1982.
It earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 and being declared a National Historic Landmark in 2006.
Graceland has recently been in the news after an apparent auction of the property was blocked following seemingly fraudulent claims it has been used as collateral for a loan taken out by his daughter Lisa Marie in 2018.
