An intriguing new trailer has just been released for a new John Lennon documentary.
The Lost Weekend: A Love Story explores Lennon's so-called "lost-weekend", an 18-month period in 1973-74 where he split from Yoko Ono, hooked up with May Pang and reconciled with both his son Julian and former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney.

The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in June 2022, and is based on May Pang's 1983 book Loving John.
The trailer sets things up nicely by retelling the story o the more-than-unconventional way in which May and John got together.
"Yoko walked into my office and said 'John and I are not getting along – I want you to go out with him," May says.
"Are you kidding, I can't do that, he's my employer, he's my boss, he's your husband!"
She adds: "I was 23 and my first boyfriend was John Lennon."
The trailer goes on to note that during this whirlwind year and a half before Yoko called time on the fling, Lennon jammed with the likes of Mick Jagger, Ringo Starr, Harry Nilsson, Elton John, David Bowie, and most striking of all – Paul McCartney.
Produced and directed by Eve Brandstein, Richard Kaufman and Stuart Samuels, The Lost Weekend: A Love Story is released in April 2023.
