Neil Diamond marks the opening of his new musical on Broadway in style.

Neil Diamond wowed theatregoers on Sunday (December 4) with a fantastic performance of his signature hit 'Sweet Caroline'.
The songwriting legend was forced to retire from touring in 2018 after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, but has still managed to show off his incredible voice at rare public appearances.

Neil was in his native New York City for the opening of new musical A Beautiful Noise, which is based on his life and work.
The singer-songwriter played his 1969 hit at The Broadhurst Theater on Broadway, with his third wife Katie McNeil by his side.
Named after Diamond's 1976 album Beautiful Noise, the musical was written by Anthony McCarten and produced by Ken Davenport and Bob Gaudio.
Neil Diamond Sings "Sweet Caroline" With A Beautiful Noise Broadway Cast
The play is set in a psychotherapy session and features Neil reacting to a Doctor reading from a second-hand copy of The Complete Lyrics of Neil Diamond.
It stars Will Swenson and Mark Jacoby as Neil, with Robyn Hurder playing his second wife Marcia and Linda Powell playing The Doctor.
In June to mark the four-week run of A Beautiful Noise at the Emerson Colonial Theater, Neil was joined by Swenson for a rendition of 'Sweet Caroline' at a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
'Sweet Caroline' was introduced to the Red Sox in 1997 and since 2002 it has been played at every home match at the stadium in the eighth inning.
