Paul McCartney helps couple get engaged on stage on his latest tour

Wishing them a future filled with all the silly love songs they could ever want.

Paul McCartney and The Beatles' songs have probably played a key role in countless relationships over the years, and now Sir Paul has had an incredibly direct effect on one particular couple.
At a performance in Chile, Paul noticed a couple in the front row dressed as him and his late wife Linda in the 1970s, holding a sign reading "Paul: Give us a handshake and we'll get married".

Paul did more than that and invited them on stage where they made things official when Yamil Alamo got on one knee and formally proposed to his partner Leonora Pereira.
The couple had been in attendance at a soundcheck performance at the Estadio Monumental in Santiago, Chile.
“This was a very special moment for us because for many years we have tried to meet him and today is the day!" Alamo was quoted by I don’t have words to describe the experience," Alamo was quoted as saying by PA.
Paul McCartney - Maybe I’m Amazed
The couple, who have been together for six years and are based in La Serena, said that they plan to get include McCartney's classic 'Maybe I'm Amazed' as part of their wedding ceremony.
As well as playing sell-out shows to packed stadiums on the current leg of his Got Back tour, Sir Paul has also been playing special sets for his soundcheck.
The soundcheck setlist in Chile was as follows:

As well as a career-spanning selection of Wings, Beatles and solo hits, Sir Paul's current main setlist includes a couple of very special performances.
'I've Got A Feeling', the Beatles track from Let It Be, is performed as a virtual duet incorporating vocals and video from John Lennon recorded at the Rooftop Concert.
And, recently added to the set, McCartney has also been performing 'Now and Then', the last Beatles song that was pieced together and released last year.
