The Beatles' 'Now and Then' is up for Best Song.
The Beatles have scooped up countless awards and recognition over the years, both during their lifetime and since their split in 1970.
It's still a surprise to learn that the band has won four Brit Awards, given that the first ever ceremony was in 1977, long after the break-up, and it only became an annual fixture in 1982.
The Brit Awards 1977 was more of a pop retrospective that saw The Beatles named the top British Group and win the Best Album prize for Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, released a decade earlier.
They were also nominated for British Pop Single for 'She Loves You', but missed out to joint winners 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' by Procol Harum and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' by Queen.
The same year they won an Outstanding Contributions to the Recording Industry prize, and in 1983 they picked up the similar Outstanding Contribution to Music gong.

Despite the stunning success of the Anthology project in the early 1990s and the release of "new" singles 'Free as a Bird' and 'Real Love', The Beatles didn't receive another Brit Awards nod... until now.
The band's "last song" 'Now and Then' has been nominated for Best Song at the 2025 Brit Awards.
It's a packed field of 15 artists that also includes hits from Coldplay, Dua Lipa, Charli XCX featuring Billie Eilish and Sam Smith, among others.
'Now and Then' went to number one in the UK and number seven in the US.
In addition to its Brits nod, the song has been nominated in the 67th Annual Grammy Awards for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance.
The song was included in the revamped version of 1967–1970, which was released alongside an expanded version of 1962–1966 compilation
