Ringo Starr praises Paul McCartney’s genius
The full trackilsting of the Revolver reissue is confirmed just hours after Ringo spilled the beans.
Producer Giles Martin recently confirmed that the next major Beatles project would be the reissue of their classic 1966 album Revolver.
That immediately sparked speculation about what special mixes and bonus tracks would be included on the release.
Just hours before the full details were announced, Ringo Starr let slip the full tracklisting of the album.
As spotted by noise11 and others, if you paused Ringo's video at just the right point where he flashes the back cover of the yet-to-be-released box-set, you could just about read what will be included.
Not long after, The Beatles' website officially confirmed the running order, along with announcing a release date of October 28.
Ringo Starr’s September 2022 Update
"I love the cover. Of course, I love the music too," said Ringo on his teaser video.
"And for those who are guessing what the hell's happening, it's Revolver. Coming out soon too. The new mixes, the mastering, so, it's gonna be great."
Fans may be disappointed to see that there are no completely "new" songs, but there are plenty of unheard alternate takes and mixes that hardcore fans of The Beatles will be itching to hear.
The Beatles REVOLVER Special Editions - Official Trailer
Disc One features be a brand new Giles Martin stereo mix of the album, Discs Two and Three are packed with alternate versions of the Revolver songs, and Disc Four is the original mono master of the album.
Disc Five is a four-track Revolver EP, featuring mono and stereo versions of the 'Paperback Writer'/'Rain' double-A-side single, recorded during the Revolver sessions and released three months before the album.
The remastering and remixing made use of "de-mixing" technology developed by the sound team led by Emile de la Rey at Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films Productions Ltd to separate out the instruments.

As with the recent reissues of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band, The Beatles (aka The White Album), Abbey Road and Let It Be, the album has been remixed for Dolby Atmos.
However, unlike the previous reissues, there is no DVD or Blu-ray containing this mix in the package, and it's available exclusively on digital platforms.
As a taster, the newly-remixed version of the album's opening song 'Taxman' is available to stream now.
