Black Sabbath to reunite for final ever show in Birmingham

Black Sabbath have announced a final reunion show featuring all original members.

The one-off homecoming concert will take place at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham on July 5, 2025.

Tickets for the special charity concert go on sale at February 14 at 10am via the usual outlets.

The concert will be the the first Black Sabbath show since their previous farewell at Genting Arena in Birmingham, on February 4, 2017.

That was the final concert of Sabbath's The End tour, which did not feature original drummer Bill Ward, but instead saw session drummer Tommy Clufetos filling in.

The concert was formally announced today (February 5) by Sharon Osbourne and Tony Iommi.

“It’s my time to go Back To The Beginning… time for me to give back to the place where I was born," Ozzy Osbourne said in a statement.

"How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love? Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever."

More than just a Black Sabbath reunion and farewell, the concert will feature a number of metal legends who have been inspired by the group over the years.

Artists booked to play the metal extravaganza include Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira, Anthrax, Alice In Chains, Halestorm, Lamb Of God and Mastodon.

Ozzy will play a short solo set before joining up with his Black Sabbath bandmates for their final bow.

The bill also features the likes of Billy Corgan, Slash, Fred Durst, Wolfgang Van Halen and Tom Morello.

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Morello is the musical director of the one-off show, and he said: "This will be the greatest heavy metal show ever."

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to Cure Parkinson's, the Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice.
