Cy Tucker, musician who sang with The Beatles, has died aged 76

Singer Cy Tucker has died at the age of 76, it has been reported. The musician, who was well-known for performing with The Beatles, fell ill on Saturday after performing a gig.
Cy’s close friend Arthur Kerevan confirmed the sad news that the father-of-three passed away on Tuesday, March 24.
It is suspected that the musician may have passed away from coronavirus, however, this has not been confirmed.
Cy’s family said in a statement: “As a family we are devastated at the sudden loss of our husband, father-in-law, grandad, brother and friend who touched so many lives through music.
“What makes his loss even more heartbreaking is the fact that it could have been so easily avoided had it not been for coronavirus.

“In less than a week we have gone from having a healthy and energetic man to one who is no longer here.”

The Cavern Club also released a statement which read: “We are sad to hear of the passing of Liverpool and Merseybeat legend Cy Tucker.
“Cy was at the forefront of the Merseybeat sound, playing The Cavern many times with Earl Preston and the TTs.
“Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones at this time.”
