Diana Ross announces first new music in 15 years with album 'Thank You'

Diana Ross announces that new single 'Thank You' will be released on June 17 with an album to follow in September.
Diana Ross has announced her first new music in 15 years.
The pop superstar and former leader of The Supremes posted a short teaser of the track, called 'Thank You' on Twitter and Facebook on Monday (June 14)
My new single is coming June 17.

She later added that an album, also called Thank You, would follow on September 10 via Decca/Universal and is available to pre-order now.
It has been written and produced by Ross with Jack Antonoff, Troy Miller, Triangle Park, Spike Stent, Prince Charlez, Amy Wadge, Neff-U, Freddie Wexler, Jimmy Napes, Tayla Parx, Fred White, and Nathanial Ledgewick.

"I dedicate this songbook of love to all of you, the listeners," Ross said.
"As you hear my voice you hear my heart. Let Love Lead the Way."
Ross's last solo studio album was 2006's I Love You, which was made up entirely of cover versions, bar the title track 'I Love You (That's All That Really Matters)'.
She was booked to play the Sunday afternoon 'Legend's Slot' at the 2020 Glastonbury Festival, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tying in with the name of her new single, Ross recently announced the UK Thank You Tour 2022, which closes with two shows at London's O2.
Dubbed A Diamond Diana Music Celebration, the dates replaced the cancelled Top Of The World UK Tour originally set for 2021.
Tickets for those dates will be valid for the corresponding shows on next year's tour.
