"There were hugs."
Art Garfunkel has revealed that he and Paul Simon recently met up for the first time in several years.
Despite their run of classic albums and famed live performances, the pair have become well known for their feuding, too, and they haven't played together since 2010.
"I met with Paul Simon for the first time in years just recently," Art told The Sun.
"We had a lunch together. It was very, very warm and wonderful."
He continued: "There were tears. I was crying at a certain point because I felt that I had hurt him.

"But there were hugs. I'm cherishing this two-week-old memory of having lunch with Paul Simon."
Garfunkel added: "I like to think I'm a man who has a lot of love. There are no relationships of mine that don't have love at the bottom. I love everyone.
"I can't imagine holding a position of dislike and clinging to it. It's all meant to be resolved so we can die easy."
Simon & Garfunkel's musical and personal relationship stretches back to when they were both at school in Queens back in the 1950s.
They first recorded songs under the name Tome & Jerry, but parted due to a lack of success.
They reconvened under their real name and released Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. in 1964.

While that album initially flopped, a remix of 'The Sound of Silence' by Tom Wilson sparked the folk-rock revolution and helped the group on their way to becoming a major success.
They split after their fifth and final studio album Bridge Over Troubled Water in 1970, but reunited several times over the following decades.
Their comebacks included a memorable show at New York's Central Park in 1981 that was attended by over half a million people.
Even as they reconcile, a live reunion remains unlikely as Paul Simon retired from touring in 2018 and Art Garfunkel seemingly followed last year.
