Quantum Jump star and producer Rupert Hine has died, aged 72

Famous producer Rupert Hine has passed away at the age of 72.
Hine was a board director of The Ivors Academy, which confirmed the news of his passing last month.
"We are so saddened to post that our Board Director Rupert Hine has passed away," The Ivors Academy wrote on Twitter.
"Rupert played an integral part in shaping the organisation, and his passion, wisdom, inspiration and his immense kindness will be hugely missed."
Hine produced albums for many diverse artists, including Rush, Tina Turner, Howard Jones, Bob Geldof, Thompson Twins, Stevie Nicks, Chris de Burgh, Suzanne Vega, and Yvonne Elliman.
Quantum Jump - 'The Lone Ranger'
He also recorded 11 albums himself, including ones billed under his own name, his pseudo-band name Thinkman, and as a member of the band Quantum Jump, who were most famous for their hit single 'The Lone Ranger'.
His final solo album of new material was The Deep End in 1994.
He was known to have had a number of medical problems, including renal cancer and heart arrhythmia. He is survived by his wife, Fay Morgan Hine, his son Kingsley (from his marriage to Natasha Barrault), his stepchildren Amy and Sam, and his sister Julie.
