Smokey Robinson announces first UK tour in nearly two decades

With The Miracles and then as a solo star, Smokey Robinson has been one of the most enduring stars of all time.
Not only is he still recording new music, including last year's eye-catching Gasms album, but Smokey still goes out on the road.

Smokey has toured extensively in the US and Canada in recent years – but he doesn't come to play in the UK all that often.
So while Robinson has done the odd one-off show but his last tour here was his Timeless Love jaunt in 2007. He's finally putting that right next summer with a series of concerts next summer.
The gigs are being billed as his Legacy Tour, marking the 50th Anniversary of his 1975 album A Quiet Storm.

"These four UK shows celebrating A Quiet Storm - such an important moment in this incredible career - will allow his fans to share this moment with him: a legacy indeed."
Tickets for Smokey's headline shows go on sale this Friday (December 6) at 10am.
As well as his own headline shows, Smokey has been booked as a headliner for the Love Supreme jazz festival in Glynde Place in the South Downs, East Sussex, which takes place on July 4-6, 2025.
Other acts booked across the weekend include En Vogue, War, Sampa The Great and a UK-exclusive slot for Maxwell. Tickets are available now.
Smokey has been confirmed to play the Saturday (July 5), with day tickets available for the event.
