Rock band Status Quo and retailer Marks and Spencer have collaborated to create a fresh rendition of the classic track 'Rockin' All Over the World.'
Status Quo have created a revamped edition of their 1977 hit, 'Rockin' All Over The World,' for a new generation of fans.
The new version of the band's song is set to mark the high street store's achievement of hitting one billion sales of its 'Remarksable value' items and best-selling 'Dine In deals', this week.
The newly titled song 'Savings All Over The World,' comes after M&S store managers created a spate of viral videos, bringing in a whole legion of younger fans from social media.
M&S's 65,000 employees were each given free rein over their local store's social media during the pandemic, resulting in increasingly creative videos filmed in aisles across the country.
The sky-rocketing in social engagement inspired one store manager, Jack Norbury from M&S Devizes in Wiltshire, to approach M&S head office for an 'anthem' that all stores could use across TikTok, resulting in an incredible collaboration with one of the UK's favourite homegrown rock bands.
"When I heard that M&S was not only going to record a song for us but was also bringing in the actual Status Quo for it, it was a real ‘pinch-me’ moment," said Jack.
"I already couldn’t believe it when my videos started getting over a million views on TikTok, but finding out that we were going to be recording with these rock & roll legends really was a life-changing experience."
Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi said: "It’s not every day you get a call saying the Marketing Director at M&S Food has asked you to re-record one of your greatest hits for them. But sure, why not?," adding that he's a frequent visitor to his local M&S.

"Their new Purley Way store is my closest so the wife and I have been in there quite a bit – big fan of their Our Best Ever prawn sandwich, I must say."
The singer gave insights into how he felt about re-writing his hit song, adding: "They say you don’t need to reinvent the classics, but we had a lot of fun re-recording one of our greatest hits for M&S.
"We then took it for a spin in their Purley Way store not far from me and everyone loved it. All thanks to a suggestion from a lovely lad called Jack – apparently he’s done several ‘viral’ videos about how good value M&S Food is, so we thought we’d beat him at his own game," he said.
"If you happen to hear our new song over on social media, happy days. And if you don’t, you might catch it on the store radio when you’re doing your next shop!"
