The Who's Roger Daltrey announces intimate UK tour with fan Q&A

Hear classic Who songs, rarities, solo hits and join in a fan Q&A with frontman Roger Daltrey.

Roger Daltrey has announced a very special UK tour that will take place before the end of the year.

The Who frontman has expressed his eagerness to get back on the road after several lockdowns, and has revealed the full details of his 'Who Was I?' tour.

The concerts will mix up electric and acoustic performances of Who classics, rarities, solo hits, and a fan Q&A.

“The truth is singers need to sing. Use it or lose it," said Roger.

"Throughout my life I have sung with so many great musicians, from the heavy rock of The Who and Wilko Johnson, to the Irish lilt of The Chieftains.

"On this tour I want to take the audience on a musical journey through my career as a singer, with a show of songs and sounds that explores and surprises.

"I look forward to having closer contact with my audience than festivals and arenas allow. Leaving time to chat."

Roger Daltrey's message for road crews during the pandemic.

He added: "It's important to get our road crew working again, without these guys the halls would go silent”

"It's also clear that live music is an important part of all our lives, something to free us from the groundhog days that life has become. 

"This pandemic has brought home to me what an important part of me singing is and it's made me determined to get back onstage asap. See you soon!”

The Who - I Can't Explain

As well as being frontman of The Who since he co-founded the group in the early 1960s, Daltrey has released 10 solo studio albums.

His solo debut Daltrey was released in 1973, and his most recent solo album As Long as I Have You came out in 2018.

The Who released their 12th studio album WHO in 2019, their first in 13 years since 2006's Endless Wire.
