Slipknot's Sid Wilson in hospital with 'serious burns' after bonfire 'explosion' at farm

Slipknot's Sid Wilson has said he is in hospital for "serious burns" after a bonfire "explosion" at his farm.

The heavy metal musician - who is in a relationship with Kelly Osbourne - said he will be "OK" in a video of himself in a hospital bed posted on Instagram.

"I had an explosion in my face," he said. "I'm OK, I'm going to be OK. But I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms."

Wilson, who also goes by DJ Starscream, then said he was getting his chest X-rayed to ensure he had not inhaled flames from the fire.

Showing off his singed eyebrows, moustache, and blistered mouth and arms, he said he still plans to appear at Slipknot's performance at Rocklahoma festival in Oklahoma next weekend.

"I'm going to be all right you guys. I don't care what it takes, I will see you on tour," he said.

Wilson said in a second video that he was being transferred to a specialist facility. He then told fans he was "doing pretty good" and in "good hands".

He also explained he was burnt by the remnants of a bonfire which he had burned on his farm the night before.

Osbourne, the daughter of TV star Sharon and Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, said in a separate Instagram post: "This is why you don't f*** with burn piles.

"He literally set himself on fire, exploded everything."

Slipknot said in a statement: "Our brother Sid Wilson was in an accident today and sustained burns across his body.

"He's recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend.

"He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon."
